History/Information

Charles Thomas Pinner is the 3rd generation of his family that has continued in the construction industry for over 85 years. His Grandfather started out as a masonry and general contractor out of a small storefront in Compton California. His father Jack Pinner continued in the construction tradition, later moving the business to Paramount California where Chuck and his brother, learned both the operational as well as the business side of construction.

Today both brothers have their own successful construction companies. Chuck’s son Ryan Pinner has showed an interest in the business and would be the 4th generation in succession. As did Arthur, Jack and Chuck, Ryan will learn the “complete” business starting from the bottom up.

Projects

CTP Construction specializes in Public Works and Governmental Projects. They are a small business emphasizing the construction of projects $5 to $15 million. Some of the components of the recent projects include.

1)                  Security and Video Surveillance.

2)                 Fire, Life Safety.

3)                 Sustainability and CHPS Compatibility (California Coalition for High Performance Schools).

Construction site management is a priority for CTP and is budgeted in every bid. Many of the projects are built on existing sites and are subject to public access. The strict access and exiting requirements by the job site administration minimizes exposure to safety and health risks and helps to move the project quicker and more efficiently.

For qualified MBE/WBE subcontracts we offer assistance in obtaining Bonds, Lines of Credit and Insurance.  If you are a MBE/WBE subcontractor or supplier, we intend to seriously negotiate with you, encourage your participation and welcome your bid.  Please note that the State of California requires an office of Small Business Certification & Resources (OSBCR) letter be submitted with your bid for each MBE/WBE participating in the contract.
